The IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems and Software (ISPASS) is the leading forum for research on the measurement, characterization, modelling and simulation of computer systems and software. It brings together researchers and practitioners who care about how systems actually behave, rather than only about how they are designed.
ISPASS 2027 is hosted by New York University in New York City, USA.
What happens at ISPASS
- Workshops and tutorials, proposed by the community and selected by the Workshops and Tutorials Chair.
- The main conference, with keynotes, paper sessions, and a poster session for late-breaking work.
- A banquet, at which the best paper and distinguished artifact awards are presented.
What ISPASS publishes
ISPASS accepts three kinds of contribution:
- Research papers on performance analysis methodology and on the analysis of real and experimental systems.
- Tool and benchmark papers, judged primarily on their potential to enable future research. Authors of accepted tool and benchmark papers are expected to open-source their work before the conference.
- Extended poster abstracts, for ongoing or late-breaking results.
Papers appear in the IEEE Xplore digital library. ISPASS runs an optional artifact evaluation process, and awards IEEE reproducibility badges to papers whose artifacts pass.
Sponsorship
ISPASS is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society, and in past years has been supported by its Technical Committee on Computer Architecture (TCCA) and its Technical Committee on Microarchitecture (TCuARCH), alongside industrial sponsors. Sponsorship for ISPASS 2027 is being arranged; see Sponsors.
Previous editions
ISPASS has been held annually since 2000. See Previous Symposia for the full list.
